A Positive Energy Home offers a higher standard in new home efficiency. You will save money, energy and more. This is a program encouraged and regulated by OG@E Corporation.
All Positive Energy Homes have the following:
- Increased insulation and strict inspection levels improve comfort levels for your home while using less energy.
- High Performance windows- high tech LOW E windows greatly impact the homes comfort level,PEH reflect 80% of sun's harmful rays back into the atmosphere, blocking unwanted heat and greatly reducing energy use.
- Tight construction/tight ducts- to eliminate drafts, dust, moisture, pests and pollen, dramatically improving comfort and indoor air quality while lowering your home's overall maintenance costs and energy usage.
- Energy efficient heating and Cooling Equipment- more efficient properly installed heating and cooling systems use less energy and reduces utility bills. Harbor Homes installs a 15 SEER A/C and 95% AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) efficient furnace. Minimum code is 13 SEER.
Positive Energy Homes are inspected during and after construction. A leak detection test of the heat and air duct system and an air infiltration test are done on the home to ensure they meet OG&E building standards.
Once energy experts are satisfied, your home is certified.
